A detailed description of the types of headaches due to continuity disorder

Disruption of continuity sometimes occurs in the membranes of the brain, sometimes in its substance, and sometimes in blood vessels that rupture. Sometimes it arises, as you know, as a result of the beginning of the movement of vapors or due to a blockage, sometimes under the influence of caustic juice or from a blow, fall or cut from the outside. The internal discontinuity sometimes does not heal and an ulcer remains, causing suffering and constant headaches. A blow and a fall are sometimes insignificant and treatable, but sometimes they are so strong that they produce concussions and the patient dies.

Some Indian doctors claim that headaches are sometimes caused by worms that grow in the head area and cause suffering by their movements, tearing and corroding the substance of the brain, while other doctors consider this incredible. However, the possibility of this need not be denied, for the worms often originate in the space between the front of the head and the upper portion of the nasal cartilages; it is possible, although rare, for them to appear near the membranes.

The tumor that causes headaches sometimes forms in the lining of the brain. Such a tumor can be hot and then it is called hot inflammation of the brain, or it can be cold and is called lithargus, which means memory loss. Often such a tumor is complex and then the patient’s condition is called hibernation with insomnia, and sometimes it is solid. A tumor can also form in the brain itself and in its substance, then it is either hot - phlegmon, or erysipelas, or cold. The details of all this will soon be outlined to you. Such tumors often resolve, with thick or thin pus, or serum, or watery matter coming out of the head, through the ears, and in other ways.
