Pseudomycoses are a group of diseases that may have a similar clinical picture to mycoses (fungal infections), but have a different etiology and are non-infectious. They can occur as a result of exposure to various factors, such as mechanical damage to the skin, chemical agents, allergens and other unfavorable factors. Pseudomycosis is also known as a controversial infection or sporadic disease.
Causes of pseudomycosis: 1. Injuries to the skin, less often the mucous membranes (in this case, the pathogen is usually transmitted by contact). 2. Insolation, radioactive radiation. 3. Bone fractures, open wounds, ulcers, burns, skin abrasions. 4. General impacts. 5. Intralymphatic administration of drugs. 6. Insect and tick bites. 7. The influence of pesticides, insecticides. 8. Allergic reaction to foods, medications or dyes. 9. Long-term use of corticosteroids.
