Psoriasis Coin-shaped

Coin psoriasis is a chronic inflammatory skin disease characterized by the appearance on the surface of the skin of flat, raised, scaly plaques of irregular shape and with jagged red edges. The occurrence of psoriasis is associated with changes in metabolism in the body.

The causes of psoriasis have not yet been studied, but doctors name infections, chronic diseases and autoimmune pathologies among the risk factors. There is also no exact answer to the question: what is the trigger for the development of the disease. What is known is that it is hereditary in nature. An increased tendency to psoriasis is observed with excess weight. The disease affects patients with increased physical stress on the skin (for example, athletes, strippers).

Depending on the form of the disease, certain symptoms are distinguished:

Typical: classic form, pale pink plaques, jagged edges, Koebner's symptom is characteristic (a spot appears at the site of injury); Plaque-like: the appearance of small plaques with minimal symptoms; Purple: small rashes with pronounced redness. There is a stage of remission (when there are no symptoms of psoriasis) and exacerbation. They manifest themselves as pathological elements. Their activity is periodic.

Specific elements – lesions – form on the skin. They look like pinkish, bright red or brownish plaques. With mechanical impact, skin layers appear. Plaques may be covered with pityriasis scales
