Gougerot's pemphigus is a rare and little-studied disease characterized by the formation of blisters on the skin, mucous membranes and internal organs. This is an autoimmune condition in which the body begins to fight against its own cells and tissues, forming immune complexes on them that damage them and cause inflammation. The name of the disease comes from the name of the French dermatologist and microscopist Gougerot, who described it in 1894.
**Symptoms of Gougerot's pemphigus** Gougerot's pemphigus is usually divided into forms. There are four categories: - chronic hyperreactive; - chronically relapsing; - bullous toxic; - pyogenic. Chronic hyperreactive pemphigus is characterized by periods of remission and exacerbation. Exacerbation of the disease manifests itself as blisters on the hands and soles
