Razdolsky Symptom

I. Ya. Razdolsky - Soviet neurologist, one of the founders of neurosurgery in the USSR. His symptom, named after him, refers to one of the methods for diagnosing cerebral circulatory disorders. The symptom is a combination of three signs that appear in diseases of the blood vessels of the head and neck. These are headache, dizziness and blurred vision. In this case, the brain does not receive enough oxygen, which can lead to a stroke.

This symptom appeared in medical practice more than a hundred years ago. It was described by doctor I.Ya. Razdolsky - scientist, doctor and founder of neurosurgery in Russia. He developed the symptom after observing cerebrovascular accidents in his patients several times. Subsequently, Razdolsky continued to conduct research in this area and made a great contribution to the development of medicine.

Despite the fact that the symptom got its name almost a hundred years ago, it continues to be used by doctors around the world and remains one of the most informative research methods.
