As part of sanitary supervision, analyzes of water, air, soil, food, as well as laboratory studies of the quality of public services are carried out. Based on the results obtained, instructions and recommendations are issued to eliminate the identified violations.

An important role in carrying out sanitary supervision is assigned to local governments, which are obliged to ensure compliance with sanitary standards on the territory of their municipalities.

Also, as part of sanitary supervision, control is carried out over the activities of enterprises involved in the production, storage and sale of food products. If violations of legislation in the field of consumer protection are detected, such enterprises may be brought to administrative liability.
