Sarcoidosis is a chronic inflammatory disease of unknown etiology that affects various organs and tissues, but mainly the lymphatic system, as well as joints and bone structures. Clinical manifestations are diverse, variable in severity, and individual clinical signs and symptoms can either increase or disappear. Some forms of the disease occur without clear clinical manifestations. With its development, pronounced dysfunctions of various organs can occur, which can cause disability. Laboratory and instrumental methods are used for diagnosis. The diagnosis is established on the basis of a characteristic clinical picture, radiological and laboratory diagnostic data, and atypical biopsy results.
