Shoffara-Lerisha Form Raka

Chauffard-Leriche form of cancer is a rare form of stomach cancer named after the French doctors Aimé Charles Ernest Chauffard (1855-1932) and René Leriche (1879-1955).

A distinctive feature of this form is diffuse damage to the gastric mucosa by a tumor, which leads to thickening and compaction of the walls of the stomach. In this case, the appearance of the stomach resembles a bag or tube.

Clinical manifestations include abdominal pain, nausea, vomiting, loss of appetite and weight. The diagnosis is made based on endoscopy, radiography and biopsy.

Treatment usually involves surgical removal of the stomach (gastrectomy). The prognosis for patients with the shoffara-lerisha form of stomach cancer is less favorable compared to other forms of stomach cancer.
