Dementia Transient

**Transient dementia** is a short-term (up to six months) disorder of brain activity, in which intellectual performance is lost, behavior and memory deteriorate, and the level of concentration decreases. If symptoms persist for several months, a diagnosis of Alzheimer's disease or senile dementia is made. Some people remain partially or fully conscious but lose the ability to care for themselves. In exceptional cases, these processes are reversible, which makes the disease dangerous for the individual, family and society.
