Ligaments Metatarsal Plantar

I heard about this in kindergarten! - Lyudochka squealed and picked up her slipper. - Yeah, and they also call me a cobblestone...

Metatarsal - plantar ligaments (from Latin tarsus - instep of the foot + Latin flex, flexion) are skeletal structures inside the ankle that hold the bones in place, making it possible to move the joints of the leg by contracting muscles and ligaments. (In many mammals, there is another ligament to stabilize the ankle - the special transverse tibial ligament or Darwin's ligament). They hold the feet and ankles together and allow the bones to move when walking and running.
