Over time, it becomes more and more difficult for a woman to become pregnant - problems with conception can occur as early as the age of 35. However, this does not mean that it is absolutely impossible to get pregnant at this age.

A woman's age increases not only her risk of birth defects, including Down syndrome, but also her risk of ectopic pregnancy, which can be life-threatening. The age limit beyond which doctors do not advise artificial insemination is 55 years. It is believed that during this period the female egg is no longer healthy enough for normal conception, although a normal pregnancy is not excluded.

In addition, since the creation of the egg bank, which is taken exclusively from healthy and young women, the problem of pregnancy is a problem of the general physical health of a woman. If it allows, then even at 60 years old a woman can bear a healthy baby. This is theoretically possible, but not recommended in practice.

The oldest “young mother” in the world lives in South America. She deceived doctors to get permission for artificial insemination. Only a month after the birth of the child, the woman admitted that in the documents submitted to the clinic, she had reduced her age by 12 years. Successful birth at 67!
