The cerebral veins are part of the venous system. A vein is a drainage of blood from something to a venous channel that connects tissue to the heart to allow blood to pass through it to the lower parts of the body. One vein comes from the medulla itself, called the first medullary vein. This vein drains blood from the inner lateral surface of the brain towards the venous canals towards the lower border of the heart. Three large veins take
