When my dad first found out that I was planning a trip to the US, he was very concerned. He was afraid that it would be difficult for me to adapt to a new culture and language, as well as find a job. But now, when six months have passed since my return, I can say that all my fears were in vain.
During my stay abroad, I did encounter some problems, but they were not as serious as I thought. One of these problems was adapting to American culture. I noticed that many American traditions seem strange and incomprehensible to me. For example, I couldn't understand why Americans drink so much coffee and why they watch TV so much. However, over time, I learned to accept and respect these differences and adapted to the new environment.
Another point regarding adaptation was the language barrier. Still, English is not my native language, and I encountered difficulties in understanding some American expressions and slang. However, thanks to regular classes and communication with native speakers, I was able to overcome this barrier and start speaking English much better than before.
