Activated Carbon

Indications. Flatulence, dyspepsia, increased acidity, food intoxication, poisoning with alkaloids, salts of heavy metals. Prevention of allergic diseases.

Directions for use and dosage. Prescribed orally 1-2 g 2-4 times a day with water after meals; when treating poisoning - 20-30 g in a glass of water (in the form of a suspension). For the prevention of allergic diseases, 0.5 g per 10 kg of body weight is prescribed 3 hours after meals, at night.

Side effects. Constipation, diarrhea, and depletion of the body in vitamins, hormones, proteins, and fats are possible.

Contraindications. Ulcers and bleeding in the gastrointestinal tract.

Release form. Tablets of 0.5 or 0.35 g.
