Acoasma

Akoasm, or akkuzma (translated from ancient Greek - hearing), is relatively new in the Russian language. During the era of the Crusades, the word "akosma" was mentioned as a term that did not explain the sound of languages, but rather the harmony of sound. The ancient city of Actium (Akasia in translation means “wisdom”) was once famous for its musical and poetic culture, which was given the name Akkoma. That is, acoustics. There is also a second meaning: “I hear well,” which is already familiar to us from childhood. But the terminology itself came to us from ancient times. The Greek name for any hearing is “acusma.” This is due to the ability of human hearing to translate unfamiliar sounds into more familiar sounds and to recognize familiar sounds among noise.
