Aortic-Cerebral crisis

Crisis aortic crisis syn.: Aortic aneurysm is an expansion of the aorta as a result of its collapse, and therefore blood pressure in the pulmonary circulation decreases. Hemorrhage associated with an aortic aneurysm can result in death. In young patients, cerebral infarctions can develop against the background of subarachnoid hemorrhage due to aortic crisis. **Syn.: aorto-cerebralism, crescent-shaped ischaemia of the brain, ruptured bilateral or bilateral infra-renal arch of the aorta, aortitis crescentia**.
