Western equine encephalitis

Equine (Western) encephalitis is an inflammatory disease of the brain. The main causes may be infections, injuries, allergies, intoxications and immunodeficiencies. Despite the fact that encephalitis is not “localized” in a specific organ, the nerve cells of the brain and spinal cord are the first to suffer from it.
