Coprophages

Coprophagia is the eating and ingestion of various types of excrement, as well as their parts. The word “copro” is usually used to designate any feces. Other names include cadaverophagy, cannibalism, fecalomania, and fecolymphophagy. Coprophilia can occur as a consequence of obsessive-compulsive disorder or schizophrenia. In the animal world, this can be seen in chimpanzees, wolves, hyenas, bears and other individuals. According to medical statistics, it is extremely rare. This tendency is more common in women than in men, which can be explained by the greater likelihood of fecal matter entering the oral cavity. However, recent studies show that men are 95% more likely to get the disease than women.

There are several forms of coprophagia, which are accompanied by various symptoms: - Oral (liquid foods, such as yoghurts or liquid cereals); - Anal. A person eats feces like beans;

There are also statistics that 5-6 people out of 1,000 suffer from coprophagia
