Olfactory Nerves

The olfactory nerves are paired cranial nerves that transmit the sensations of smell and taste; located on either side of the anterior end of the body of the sphenoid bone, between the medial edge of the greater alar and posterior edge of the lesser alar processes of the sphenoid sinus, from which they extend to a common point at some distance above the opening of the optic canal for connection with vision and taste.
