Paltauf Syndrome

Paltauf syndrome is a condition when a person closes down, does not speak, does nothing, withdraws from business, etc. This condition has various causes. And today, for many people, this symptom is apathy. Unlike seclusion, apathy is not a voluntary reaction to changing circumstances, but a consequence of the progression of mental illness (with schizophrenia, paranoid form of neurosis, etc.). Thus, an apathetic state is an attempt by the human brain to hide certain painful changes in the psyche.
