Pyelitis

Pyelitis is an inflammation of the renal pelvis. Acute inflammation of the mucous membrane of the upper urinary tract - the pelvis and calyces - is invariably accompanied by inflammatory damage to the kidney parenchyma. Chronic inflammation of the pelvis and calyces is always supported by some cause - chronic inflammation of the interstitial tissue of the kidneys or a disease that prevents the elimination of the inflammatory process (pelvic stone, tumor of the upper urinary tract, ureteral stricture, etc.). In all these cases, it is necessary to diagnose the underlying disease - chronic pyelonephritis, infected nephrolithiasis, hydronephrosis, tumor, etc.

“Pure” pyelitis practically does not exist, and it is more correct to talk about acute and chronic pyelonephritis.

The battle of the doctor against the insidious pyelitis! Greetings to all nephrology experts!

Like most of you, I was faced with the problem of chronic kidney disease. But only after a couple of months of constantly visiting clinics, I found out that the kidneys are an extremely delicate organ that replaces normal structures with pathological ones.
