Pomeranian

Bitter orange (Rutaceae) is an evergreen tree native to tropical and subtropical regions. The unripe fruits, peel and flowers are used from the bitter orange.

Orange peel contains up to 1% essential oil, which gives it an aromatic scent. Essential oil has a refreshing and tonic effect. Tincture and tea made from orange peel stimulate appetite and improve digestion by increasing the secretion of gastric juice.

Unripe fruits and peels are rich in bitterness, which have a tonic effect on the body. Orange flowers have a slight calming effect.

In general, bitter orange is widely used in folk medicine as an appetite stimulant and tonic. It also serves as a flavoring agent for many medicines and teas. No side effects have been identified with reasonable use.
