Seminal Fluid

Seminal fluid is a term referring to the female or male fluid secretion produced by the gonads. This secretion is sometimes called pre-cum or lubricant. Produced in the male gonads and in the seminal vesicles (in women), it is released during sexual arousal. The liquid usually tastes sour, contains a lot of proteins and vitamins, but very few carbohydrates. Under the influence of the enzyme spermine, it becomes cloudy and thick. In white young men, the seminal fluid is white or slightly yellowish.

Its viscous, sticky consistency allows it to hold and move sperm just before ejaculation. In terms of the quality of semen as a male lubricant, its main purpose is to maximize the likelihood of conception with as little testosterone as possible in the ejaculate. This can cause the lubrication to become thicker and thicker, which helps it contain more sperm and overcome thicker vaginal walls. Thicker and more viscous lubricants last longer and have more lubricating properties, which gives a man more time to touch the surface of the uterus with the penis. In addition to this purpose, lubricant can stimulate a woman's arousal so that she is also ready for intercourse. If a man is unsure about the quality of his lubricant, this does not mean that he cannot be fertile. Some research
