Blue Yod

Blue iodine

Blue iodine is amyloiodine, a compound of starch and iodine.

Iodine plays an important role in the functioning of the body. It is necessary for the normal functioning of the thyroid gland, the condition of which determines the condition of other organs. Thyroid hormones influence the nervous, digestive, cardiovascular, respiratory, and reproductive systems of a person, as well as the overall development of the body.

With a lack of iodine in the environment, endemic goiter develops. Excess iodine has a toxic (poisonous) effect on the human body. With long-term use of iodine-containing drugs (including blue iodine), iododerma may occur - iodine intolerance, manifested in skin lesions and a number of other complications.

At the same time, too small doses of iodine are simply ineffective. In blue iodine, the aggressiveness of iodine is somewhat softened by starch.

The recipe for making blue iodine is quite widespread. To do this, dilute 10 g of potato starch in 50 ml of warm water, add 10 g of granulated sugar and 0.4 g of citric acid. Then the resulting starch solution is poured into boiling water, cooled and a 5% iodine solution is added.

Blue iodine increases the elasticity of blood vessels, improves blood circulation, lowers cholesterol and normalizes blood pressure. It is recommended for the prevention of atherosclerosis and iodine deficiency.

You need to take blue iodine carefully, taking into account contraindications. The course of admission is no more than a month. For prevention, you can also use iodized salt, monitoring its expiration date and proper storage.
