In previous reviews of our sports portal, we have already dwelled more than once on modern educational and training devices and simulators for track and field throwers. We have studied absolutely everything projectiles:
- A spear,
- Hammer,
- Disk,
- Cannonball for throwing.
The nuances were also discussed in detail training process of athletes, specific devices and simulators designed to help coaches and their trainees in everyday training, as well as shot put and throwing techniques for all of the above-mentioned projectiles.
Well, the first thing I would like to especially focus your attention on is passive safety equipment. For throwing athletes, this means, of course, is a protective net. Without it being present and in good condition, no training should begin. Remember: if a heavy projectile hits a person or animal, severe and maybe even fatal injury cannot be avoided. You can also easily damage material assets, both public and private. In view of all these points, before each training session, be sure to check the reliability and serviceability of the above passive safety equipment - never ignore this rule.
The device that we will consider in this article allows you to “skim the cream”. Or rather, to receive high-quality, reliableassessment characteristics work of the thrower for subsequent statistical accumulation and analysis of the information received, and accordingly developing a strategy for the further training of the athlete. The device records:
- The starting impulse and, accordingly, the force of the throw,
- The initial speed that the throwing ball receives is
- The initial acceleration of the projectile,
- Other qualitative and quantitative indicators necessary for the coach.
I think no one will dispute the significance of all these statistical data and the importance of their regular accumulation and analysis. Based on these indicators, as well as high-speed video filming, which every self-respecting coach should periodically perform, it is easy to find technical errors, shortcomings and omissions that are virtually invisible to the ordinary naked eye. It is in this way that the shot put technique of modern throwing athletes is improved.
As mentioned earlier, the device is designed to record acceleration during shot put. Receipt of such information by the coach and athlete allows for more effective manage the training process throwers.
The device (Fig. 1, a) consists of a core 1, inside of which there is an acceleration sensor 2 of the MP-68 type, connected via a cable 5 and a spring 6 to the athlete’s hand. The sensor potentiometer is powered by batteries 3 types KBS, and the signal is recorded by a recorder type N-327 4.
When the core is accelerated, the resulting acceleration is captured sensor and registers recorder. When the shot is pulled away from the hand, the cable and spring begin to stretch. When the spring tension reaches a certain value, it begins to remove the sensor from the core, which then hangs on the athlete's hand. The core continues to fly without changing speed. During overclocking, the total weight of the core and acceleration sensor is the standard weight of the core. In Fig. Figure 1b shows a record of the core acceleration during the final overclocking.
So, to summarize: in this article we studied another device for pushing “steel balls”. Explore in detail other projectiles and the corresponding simulators, devices and equipment can be found here, here and here. Don't forget to leave your comments.
