Trivorin is a drug against the hepatitis C virus, which is produced in Israel by Teva Pharmaceuticals. It belongs to a group of antiviral drugs called nucleosides. Trivorin is prescribed for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C virus infection in adults and children over 12 years of age, but it is also used as an adjunctive treatment to interferon-alpha in patients who are resistant to interferon-alpha treatment.
The medicine is contraindicated in chronic heart failure IIB/III degree, myocardial infarction, renal failure, anemia, severe liver dysfunction, autoimmune and autoimmune hepatitis.
