It is hotter than a bee; its sting causes pain, redness and swelling. There is a breed of large wasps with a black head and numerous stings, the sting of which is, in general, more deadly and therefore sometimes leads to convulsions and weakness in the knees. As for the small wasp, the danger of its bite is sometimes also great, and it causes blisters and makes the tongue heavy.
When a bite occurs, the suction you already know is used, but if the matter becomes significant, then one dirham of marjoram is given from drinking medicine, and the pain immediately calms down, or three pinches of dry coriander are given. The patient takes well-known chilled squeezed juices and well-known chilled drinks, and sometimes he is given ice like a suppository, and this helps. For ointments, they use mallow juice and mountain basil juice - mallow works wonderfully due to its special properties - as well as marshmallow, pigweed, black nightshade, crushed sesame and its leaves.
Figs with vinegar, pure clay, unripe grape juice or cow feces, especially with vinegar, and also thyme leaves or fresh bay leaves also help. Or they take opium, hemlock seeds and camphor, spread it on the bitten area with some cold squeezed juice and cover the wound with a linen rag soaked in cooled water, and the skin around it is smeared with clay and vinegar. Duckweed with vinegar or greens that form on water jugs also have a wonderful effect, or, as one of the doctors claims, they make a poultice from water and salt and smear it with the milky juice of figs; they also use salted earth from the walls with vinegar. Sometimes the juices and decoctions of the mentioned plants are used to make a pour.
We tried this remedy: leave the bitten part of the body in hot water for a while, and then immediately move it into cold water with vinegar, and the pain immediately went away. They use flies as a rub to soothe the pain.
