Buccal glands - located in the buccal region in the area of the necks of the teeth on the path of food passage from the oral cavity to the esophagus. The buccal gland (glandula buccalis) opens cranially with two excretory ducts near the edge of the lower jaw and a small accessory excretory duct directly at the floor of the mouth.
