Power Circuit
A food chain is a sequence of organisms through which energy is transferred from the place of its primary accumulation in the plant. In this chain, each link serves as food for the next link.
For example, a typical power circuit might look like this:
Plants → Herbivores → Carnivores → Predators
In this chain, plants, using the energy of the sun, accumulate energy through the process of photosynthesis. Herbivores (such as hares) then eat the plants and obtain energy from them. Next, carnivores (for example, foxes) hunt herbivores and eat them, thereby obtaining energy. Finally, predators (such as wolves) hunt carnivores, completing the food chain.
Thus, energy is gradually transferred from one link in the chain to another. Food chains play an important role in maintaining the balance of ecosystems.
