Hypergonadism

Hypergonadism is a relatively rare endocrine disease characterized by activation of the gonads (testes) caused by pathology of the hypothalamic-pituitary system. Hypergonadotropic (HTG) hypogonadism is characterized by increased release of male sex hormones - androgens, while with hypogonadotropic hypogonadism (HGG) there is a sharp decrease in the production of these hormones. Hypergonadal syndrome or Hypergonadism is a complex of somatic, mental, sexual and endocrine disorders in women and men with excess production or activation of androgens (male sex hormones), as a result of testosterone, dihydrotestosterone (an antagonist of the antimineral calcium activity of testosterone). It has been established that one of the most characteristic manifestations of the syndrome is a change in the figure of patients due to enlargement of the mammary glands, deepening of the voice, and the appearance of facial and body hair.
