Lung Collapse

Lung collapse is a life-threatening condition in which the size of the lungs decreases significantly and becomes smaller than the body itself, without a characteristic reason for this. The result of this pathological process is a disruption of gas exchange between body tissues and blood. As a result, tissue oxygenation is catastrophically reduced and intoxication of the body occurs. Therefore, if lung function is not restored in time, the death of many tissues may occur.
