Nerve Subscapularis

The subscapular nerve (lat. n. subscapularis) is one of the branches of the brachial plexus. It arises from the posterior bundle of the brachial plexus and innervates the subscapularis muscle.

The subscapularis nerve originates from the posterior bundle of the brachial plexus through a common trunk with the infraspinatus nerve and the round nerve. Then the subscapularis nerve is separated and sent to the subscapularis fossa, where it innervates the muscle of the same name.

Thus, the subscapularis nerve is a motor branch of the brachial plexus that innervates the subscapularis muscle.
