Aldrich Syndrome

Aldrich syndrome is a rare genetic disease characterized by congenital heart disease. The disease was described by American doctors Herbert Aldrich and George Nanty in 1965. With Aldrich syndrome, a newborn child may experience abnormalities in the structure of the cardiovascular system that develop from childhood or as they grow.

Aldrich named this syndrome in honor of his doctor friend who diagnosed the pathology: the doctor's son was born with cardiac problems. Thus, Aldrich noticed the sad state of his own son, but could not see the health problem
