Oxyamine

Oxamine is an ester of carbon disulfide in the molecules of which one or more of the CH2 groups are replaced by hydrogen atoms. Its molecules contain at least one C=O group combined with an oxygen-containing functionality (hydroxyl, acyl group, urea), known as an "oxidation site". The remaining CH groups are largely soluble in water. In the body, this group of acids is found only in the cystine and nucleoside phosphate groups of purine and pyrimidine nucleotides.
