Gudden's commissures are the adhesions between the elytra and the brow of the thigh (knee joint). The commissure or hole in the kneecap is called the “inferior commissure of the patella.” The appearance of such a hole may be accompanied by discomfort or pain when squatting, walking, climbing stairs, as well as mobility of the knee joint.
