The modern world is satiated with information noise, filled with the opinions of people who tend to convince us of the correctness of one point of view or another on any situation. A person tends to unconsciously obey the opinion of the majority or an authoritative person. Sometimes it looks like we question even correct but previously unknown information or don’t notice it at all just because it contradicts the formed worldview. In such conditions, it is difficult to remain an independent and unbiased critic, with enviable consistency downplaying the author’s will of others and increasing confidence in one’s own rightness. Arguing with a person who is convinced of something that actually does not exist may be useless - here success depends on the depth of delusions, the degree of desire to resist other people's opinions and the arrogance of the very authoritative person who set out to demolish your skepticism.
