Alzheimer's syndrome (AS) is a chronic neurodegenerative disease in which the gradual death of nerve cells in the brain occurs. There are 4 stages of the disease, each of which damages different areas of the brain and causes certain symptoms. In the first stage, mild cognitive changes and memory problems occur, but these may resolve without treatment. However, if no action is taken, these symptoms will progress and the person may lose the ability to communicate, live independently and work.
Signs of the disease can manifest themselves in various forms, for example, memory deterioration, loss of spatial orientation, decreased cognitive function, up to complete loss of memory and language
