**Apera hirsutism** is a rare hereditary disease accompanied by hairiness in women at the site of production of female sex hormones. The causes of this disease are currently unknown, but, presumably, it is caused by a hereditary defect in the functioning of the hypothalamus-pituitary-gonadal system. Externally, women with apera hirsute syndrome can look very unusual: hair begins to grow in the cheeks and nose, on the chin, in the armpits and near the inner thighs.
It has been established that the development of apert hirsutism is caused by microcephaly of the body of Nanterre, transmitted along the maternal line from mother to children. Microcephaly is manifested by abnormalities of the spine and skull, leading to their deformation. The syndrome is accompanied by mental retardation and various malformations of internal organs, skin and bone changes
