Paraphrenia Acute

Acute paraphrenia is divided into three categories: the predominance of one mania or obsession without delusions and thinking disorders; active symptoms of delirium with disrupted thinking; delirium with spasmodic cloudings of consciousness with obsessive, overvalued, sometimes delusional ideas. The paraphrenic syndrome in episodic paraphrenia includes clouding of consciousness of the epileptic type in the presence of paranoid, hallucinatory-paranoid syndromes.
