Pinguecula

Pingueculae are superficial cysts of the epithelium and sebaceous glands, which are most often found in skin pores. Pigmented xanthomas appear in the extensor area of the fingers. Rarely they are found on the scrotum, labia, clitoris, clitoral hood, buttocks, and pubis. More rare localization of pigmented cysts is the skin of the tongue, lips, gums, corners of the mouth, eyelid, nose. The size of cysts can vary from 2 mm to several centimeters. In this case, the typical localization is the edge of the eyelid or the lateral surface of the nose. They are classified as facial cysts, since under a microscope it is noticeable that the cyst cavity is filled not with elements of dead cells, but with the contents of the sebaceous gland produced by epidermal cells
