Delmas-Marsale Elementary Posture Reflex

The elementary posture reflex delma-marsala is a reflexive contraction of the muscles of the back and torso in response to the stretching of the diaphragm that occurs during deep breathing. This reflex was discovered by the French physician Paul Delme and the Italian scientist Adelmo Marsala at the beginning of the twentieth century.

The reflex was first described by the French scientist Paul Delmo in 1901. He noticed that during forced breathing (deep inhalation with breath holding), the diaphragm muscle contracts and the muscles that fix the torso in a vertical position become tense. Marsal later confirmed this discovery, determining that contractions of the muscles of both halves of the chest, lower back, buttocks and front of the thigh were simultaneously observed.

The significance of this reflex is that it allows you to maintain body balance while maintaining an optimal position of the upper body. Besides
