Sun, solarium or self-tanning? How to make a choice

Now the days are hot - time for vacations, relaxing on the beach and good mood. Naturally, women often have a question: which “sun” is safe? The one under which the asphalt melts, the artificial one – in a solarium or the “sun” from a tube?

Let's try to understand the advantages and disadvantages of each of these types of tanning. But at the same time, remember that all “sunbathing” requires certain preparation and protection of the skin.

Sun

pros

No one will argue that sunbathing on a beach next to a pond, listening to beautiful music and contemplating hot male bodies is much more pleasant than going to a solarium. This is also an opportunity to be in the company of friends, in the fresh air and get a tan in a natural way. Sunbathing can never be replaced by anything.

Minuses

But there are still disadvantages to such a pastime. Firstly, it’s not always possible to escape to the beach and go out of town. Secondly, moisture on the skin - be it a drop of sweat or water - attracts the rays of the scorching sun, and the body begins to burn. Remember: you need to sunbathe from 9:00 to 11:00 or from 16:00 to 18:00, when the sun's rays are not so scorching.

It is possible that our skin is exposed to ultraviolet rays of group C - the most dangerous and insidious. They make their way through the ozone holes. Therefore, do not forget to use cosmetics with SPF filters - this applies to both body and face products, as well as decorative cosmetics. Wear a hat.

Solarium

This is also a kind of sun, but you can sunbathe under it all year round. The main thing during the session is to cover your nipples, hair, eyes and turn on the timer. Many media outlets are full of news that solariums are most often the cause of skin cancer, but this has not been proven by scientists, so we continue to actively sunbathe under the artificial sun.

pros

Many women go to the solarium in order to truly feel like a woman: it’s fashionable, prestigious, glamorous, after all. In addition, this is one of the ways to get rid of the blues, especially during the cold season, replenish the loss of vitamin D and thus fight acne.

The solarium provides filtering of spectrum A and B rays emanating from powerful installed lamps, which means that you will tan quickly and safely, while the main thing is to correctly calculate the load and time.

In late autumn, when the natural summer tan has already faded (as well as in winter and spring), a solarium is the only way to get rid of paleness. To do this, you will spend a few days a week for a quarter of an hour and a minimum of money.

Minuses

There are no disadvantages to visiting a solarium. There are only contraindications. Pregnant women, cancer patients, people with cardiovascular diseases, infectious diseases, breast diseases, skin diseases and those with many moles, before and after depilation, while taking antibiotics and tranquilizers should not sunbathe in it.

Be sure to use special tanning cosmetics EXACTLY in the solarium, it will protect and moisturize your skin. Don't forget about a hair cap, special glasses, and nipple stickers.

Self tanning

This is a solution for those women for whom sunbathing or a solarium is contraindicated. Self-tanning is a special cosmetic product that gives the skin a tint artificially. There are bronzers, tanning accelerators and auto-bronzants.

pros

All these products contain special substances that help the skin acquire the desired shade and promote the body's production of melanin, the tanning pigment. Their main advantage is that they are absolutely harmless and will not cause diseases. They act faster than the rays of the sun and solarium, and are easily washed off. Well, another advantage of self-tanning is that compared to a trip to the sea and a visit to the solarium, it is much easier.
