Adaptability

Adaptability is the ability of a person or any other system to adapt to changing environmental conditions. Adaptability allows organisms to survive in a changing world and achieve their goals.

Adaptability manifests itself at different levels - physiological, behavioral, psychological. For example, when moving to another climate zone, the body gradually adapts to new temperature conditions. Behavioral adaptability allows a person or animal to flexibly change behavior patterns to achieve a goal. Psychological adaptability is a person’s ability to adapt to new life circumstances, social roles, and cultural environment.

Adaptability is closely related to plasticity - the ability to change under the influence of environmental factors. The higher the adaptability, the more easily a system can change its structure or functions to optimally respond to new demands and conditions. Adaptability increases your chances of survival and success.
