Guillotine amputation

Guillotine amputation is a surgical procedure used to remove part of a limb in the event of pathology or injury. It was developed in the late 18th century by the French surgeon Joseph-Yves Denis, who later became known as the surgeon general of France.

The guillotine amputation method involves making an incision along the limb.
