Cold (Cold, Common Cold)

The cold is a widespread infectious disease among adults. While the common cold is one of the most common illnesses among people in the general population, only a small percentage of this population seeks medical attention. Most people go through this disease the same way as most other diseases.

A cold is an acute viral infectious inflammation of the upper respiratory tract. It can be either a lesion of the mucous membrane of the pharynx or an inflammation of the larynx, vocal cords and even the bronchi, which is why this disease is called rhinosinusitis, tracheobronchitis or bronchitis. A cold is characterized by bilateral damage to the respiratory tract with characteristic signs of rhinitis - nasal congestion or runny nose. In severe cases, excessive lacrimation, skin rashes, impotence and general intoxication of the body occur, which is more pronounced when the immune system is suppressed.
