Myofasciitis

Myofasciitis is an inflammation of soft tissues (muscle groups or fascia), which occurs against the background of muscle overstrain and physical activity. Myofastitis can occur both after an overextended long-term workout, and as a result of prolonged sitting or walking, or during accidental movement with sudden or frequently repeated changes in posture.

Typically, muscles compress peripheral nerve endings, which leads to changes in muscle fibers and increases their sensitivity. Symptoms of this process may include pain, swelling and a feeling of heat in the area where the inflammation occurs. Unlike cases where pain occurs due to muscle strain, pain with myofastitis is caused by compression of nerves by muscle tissue. It is important to note that 90% of the population will experience this phenomenon at one time or another, but most go through this condition without much help.
