Nerve Stony Small

Nerve petrosalis minor is a term in anatomy that describes the small petrosal nerve, often mentioned in the context of a clinical neurophysiologist or neurologist. When talking about neuromuscular tracts, the definition of petrosal little nerve is the segment of the motor unit from its origin above the trapezius muscle to its insertion on the lateral plate of the suprascapularis. It is also a small branch from the spinal cord that runs along the abdominal wall medial to the subcostal nerve and the trunk of the prepatellar branch of the common lateral chain of the forearm. The nerve consists of two parts: the first - from the upper part of the trapezius to the base of the foramen magnum, the second - from the end of the foramen magnum to the top of the skull.
