Fildes' Nutrient Medium

Fiedses nutrient medium is a microbiological medium for the cultivation of microorganisms, named after the botanist Sergei Pafnutievich Fildes. This term was first used in 1903 by the German bacteriologist Eduard Klues and consists of two elements: a growth medium for bacteria (carbohydrates, amino acids, vitamins and other nutrients) and a medium containing inhibitors of the growth of foreign microorganisms.
