Acne

In adolescence, many people (about 80%) were worried about their appearance: the body is changing, acne, pimples, comedones appear, which interferes with life. This process has a name - acne or acne. This is a disease in which red inflammation - acne - appears on the skin of the face (sometimes on other parts of the body). They occur most often in adolescence, due to the active growth of the sebaceous glands, poor hygiene, anxiety or digestive problems. The process of acne is simple: the sebaceous gland duct becomes clogged with dead skin and turns into a comedone, which can grow into a pimple. Naturally, this process cannot be started.

Treatment

The first thing you should do if inflammation occurs is to go to a dermatologist. He will prescribe a course of treatment. It is better not to try to squeeze out pimples yourself, as there is a possibility of introducing dirt and making the situation even worse. There are several types of inflammation and they are treated differently, so there is no single cure. It should be noted that treatment can last quite a long time (in advanced cases - about six months), so you need to be patient. The course of treatment consists of cosmetic cleansing (an extremely unpleasant procedure) and the use of certain ointments, balms and creams. Some of them dry out the skin, others reduce the activity of the sebaceous glands or simply help remove sebum more easily. For adolescents, it is best to carry out maintenance therapy after treatment, in which the amount of medication will be reduced.

In any case, you need to remember that acne is treatable and every patient will be healed.

Prevention

Since the absolutely exact cause of acne is not known, the basic rules for the prevention of acne can be considered:

  1. Maintain personal hygiene rules: wash your face and hands as often as possible, take a shower. It is also not recommended to touch your face with dirty hands, as dirt can clog the sebaceous glands, leading to acne.
  2. Watch your diet. One of the causes of acne is eating fatty and sweet foods in large quantities. Therefore, you need to exclude such foods from your diet, which will improve not only your skin.
  3. Various bad habits: smoking, taking drugs, alcoholism, do not contribute to maintaining clean skin and overall health.
  4. Mobility and spending time in the fresh air will not harm the skin, because at home it is often dry and hot. There is clean, life-giving air in nature.
  5. The use of cosmetics can also cause deterioration in the quality of the skin in general and not just the appearance of acne. If mascara and foundation are necessary, then it is better to use high-quality products that do not contain harmful substances. Thus, preventing acne is not something supernatural: you just need to take care of yourself and your health.
