Aluminum

Aluminosis is an occupational disease characterized by the replacement of normal tissues (primarily bones, especially the lower part of the spine and chest) under the influence of aluminum salts. The destruction of bone substance occurs under the influence of the complex influence of aluminum ions, its breakdown products, and the characteristics of carbohydrate, fat and mineral metabolism.

Under normal conditions, sparingly soluble salts of aluminum and iron actively participate in metabolism, taking part in the formation of bone tissue and in the formation of proteins. As a result of excess intake from food, due to the entry of already insoluble metal salts into the blood or from other sources, these minerals are not able to be excreted naturally, blocking normal metabolic processes.
